Metolius Summer Bouldering League 2012
Boulder Central is hosting a summer competition with the Metolius Summer Bouldering League.
The league will be split into 5 rounds giving you 2 weeks per round in which to do as many problems as possible.
Each round will contain 25 problems and will be scored as such: 10pts first attempt, 7pts second attempt, 5pts third attempt, 4pts any successful attempt thereafter.
All the scores for each round will be added up and contribute towards the Grand Final; the competitors with the highest points tally will qualify. Please note that you can drop the points from your lowest scoring round.
The dates for the competition are:
- Round 1: 24th June - 8th July
- Round 2: 9th July - 22nd July
- Round 3: 23rd July - 5th August
- Round 4: 6th August - 19th August
- Round 5: 20th August - 3rd September
- Grand Final: 15th September
We have 4 categories for competitors:
- Male Under 18s
- Female Under 18s
- Male 18s and over
- Female 18s and over
Entry is just a pound a round and every round we will hold a raffle for everyone who enters. The theme of the raffle prize is climbing books. The Round 1 raffle winner will win the Peak District Bouldering Guide; A must for any boulderer.
£1000 of prizes are up for grabs (details of the prize breakdown will be given later) so get ready!
